Pageant Rehearsal at 9:30am.
Service bulletin forthcoming.
Decorate the Church
Volunteers are needed to help decorate the church for Christmas Saturday, December 13, starting at 10:00 am.
We'll set out wreaths and other greens, and decorate our gorgeous tree. This is a fun act of service for families to do after the pageant rehearsal, and for all to join in a community Advent spirit of preparing for Christmas.
Please email Farah Franqui with questions and to confirm your participation. We hope to see you there!
Christmas Tree Sale
St. JME's annual Christmas Tree Sale will be taking place on Saturday, December 6th! Trees are sold on a first come, first served basis subject to availability. If you would like to reserve a tree, please review our price sheet and send us an email! If you submit payment through Faithstreet, please note the details of your tree.
We’ll be splitting the proceeds from this year’s Advent Craft Sale and the Christmas Tree Sale between Mixteca and CHiPS Soup Kitchen.
Twenty-third Sunday after Pentecost
Sunday School at 10am.
Lunch and Fill event after worship in the Social Hall.
Special Guest for Temple Talk: Maria Ponce, Mixteca
We’ll be splitting the proceeds from this year’s Advent Craft Sale and the Christmas Tree Sale between Mixteca and CHIPS Soup Kitchen. Mixteca is a local organization serving the Mexican/Latinx immigrant community in nearby South Slope/Sunset Park. We know that the immigrant community is especially vulnerable under the current federal administration and recent ICE raids. Mixteca supports the community in many ways, including food distribution, adult education, immigrant rights services, cultural celebrations and more. Maria Ponce from Mixteca will speak with us today during service, and will be around after worship to answer any questions that people might have. For more information you can check their website: mixteca.org
Blessing of the Animals
In front of the church
We will bless well-behaved animals as part of our celebration of St. Francis of Assisi. After the blessing, animals may enter the sanctuary with their owners.
