Children’s Sunday Acknowledgements

Many people come together to make Children’s Sunday happen here at St. JME. First, and foremost, I thank all the children who come to opening and give their opinions and help choose what we are going to do. For example, to pick the setting for the service, I started playing each one the congregation is familiar with and the children discuss and pick. They also will come up with creative ideas for the service itself or challenge themselves to try something new. Remember ALL our children are involved whether they choose to get up in front or be behind the scenes (we have a great director in the making!) and we celebrate each child’s gifts.

Second, MANY adults lend a guiding hand. This time it was (in no particular order) Sarah Meyer and Sarah Butler helping the children create the movement for “America the Beautiful;” Daryl Lang training our ushers; Stephanie and Cassie Alvarez prepping and setting up the fishing pole craft for the nursery children; Katherine Anderson helping our readers; the rest of the fabulous Sunday School staff for all their support; Pastor David for supporting the children’s choices and guiding where necessary. Thank you all—many hands makes light work.

Blessings!
Sunday School Co-coordinator Cindy Radtke
